My Mother Essay (200 words)
My mother is the most important person in my life. I did not grow up with her from birth. She adopted me from an orphanage when I was still a small child, and from that day, she raised me completely on her own. She never had a partner to share the responsibility, yet she never once made me feel like I was any less loved because of that.
Growing up, I watched her work long hours to give me everything I needed, from food and clothes to school supplies and small treats on my birthday.
She often sacrificed her own comfort so that I would not go without. Even when she was tired, she always found time to help me with homework or simply sit and talk about my day.
What I admire most about my mother is her strength. Choosing to raise a child alone, especially one who was not born to her, takes a special kind of courage and love. She never let me feel like an outsider in our home. Instead, she made sure I always knew I belonged.
Today, everything I am, my values, my work ethic, and my kindness toward others, comes from her example. My mother did not just give me a home. She gave me a family.
